Paul Apostle‘King James and his Bible’

Saturday, 27th September 2025 at 7.30 pm

When James VI of Scotland ascended the English throne in 1603 as James I the nation was beset by political intrigue and religious division. Yet out of these turbulent times came a translation of the Bible that has endured for over 400 years. The King James (or Authorised) Version of 1611 was to have an immense influence upon the language, literature, and culture of the English-speaking world. Hear the interesting story of King James and his Bible in this British Bible School Saturday evening lecture.

John Griffiths will present this lecture. He has a special interest in history and the Bible, and has been teaching and preaching the word of God in London for many decades.

Please join us for this Saturday evening lecture as John Griffiths tells the story of ‘King James and his Bible’ in the next of our Evening Lectures Online.
